Thanks to all for your birthday wishes! I appreciate all of you that have crossed my path. To clarify, I am in my 50th year, not 50 yet. My goal for the year is "50 to 50". To do so, I am going to write and exercise 30 minutes per day to reach that goal. Birthdays are great times to reflect on where you've been and where you're going...sometimes painfully. In 1995, I got down to 162 pounds. I was lifting weights and running regularly. One of my daily things was simply "getting it out". Somewhere, I've lost alot of this. I need to get back to some semblance of that lifestyle. It's not a short-term decision. Frequently, I make goals like this and wait for them to commence. I tend to abandon those goals quickly. I'm not saying I'll get down to 173 pounds or less from my high-water mark of 223 pounds, but I think I can get close if I think about what I put into my body and exercise daily. This is the premise of the blog. Feel free to check out the progress. It's also an opportunity to write, reflect and share.
